Eravikulam National Park

Marayoor Eco Park

Marayoor is a place in the Idukki district of Kerala,42Kms north of Munnar on Munnar-Udumbalpetta road. Aside from its natural sandal forests and immnunerable locations of scenic beauty, Marayoor is best known for its extensive sugarcane cultivation, the major crop of Marayoor and Kanthalloor. Here, more than 2500 acres of land is under sugarcane cultivation.

Muniyara - Anakottapara Park

The Muniyara Dolmens are magnificent prehistoric dolmens, situated in Marayoor, approximately 55 kms from Munnar. Belongs to the Neolithic Age, these aboveground burial chambers are built with large stone slabs and are called 'megaliths.' The historians keep special interest in these granite slabs as they are more than thousand years old. Eco point

Eco point is a lake side location about half an hour drive from Munnar.It is on Top Station road, about 6 kms past Mattuppetty. The artificial lake is the same reservoir that is at Mattuppetty and the view is similar as well.The drive from Mattuppetty to Top Station is scenic.There are some areas where elephants reach near the lake to drink water. Seeing elephants near the road is unusual, especially during day time. However, such a chance cannot be totally ruled out as well.Boating is popular at Eco point. The other thing to do is just to enjoy the scenery and take a few snaps. Or some small shopping at the make shift stalls which sell small souvenirs.

Top station

Top Station, located around 32 km away from Munnar, is the highest point (1700m) in Munnar, on the Munnar-Kodaikkanal road. The place falls on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Here you can enjoy the panoramic view of Western Ghats and the valley of Theni district of Tamil Nadu.
